REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 25, 2002 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, that the license renewal application for the following be recommended favorably <br />based upon the satisfactory review of the properties by the Department of Code Enforcement and the <br />Fire Prevention Bureau: <br />Weaver Truck & Equipment <br />3605 South Gertrude <br />South Bend, Indiana 46614 <br />Steve & Gene's Auto Truck Salvage <br />3109 Gertrude <br />South Bend, Indiana 46614 <br />South Bend Scrap & Processing <br />3113 South Gertrude <br />South Bend, Indiana 46614 <br />South Bend Scrap & Processing <br />1305 Prairie <br />South Bend, Indiana 46613 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be submitted to the Common <br />Council for its consideration and adoption of an appropriate Resolution. <br />DATED this 25th day of February 2002. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/Donald E. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Anthony Molnar, Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />McIntyre Jones Construction <br />EXCAVATION BONDS <br />McIntyre Jones Construction <br />Approved Effective February 22, 2002, <br />Pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2001 <br />Approved Effective February 22, 2002, <br />Pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2001 <br />Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved as <br />outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS/RE-ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - <br />2001 SEWER LINING PROGRAM - PROJECT NO. 101-006 <br />Mr. Jason Durr, Engineering, stated that on December 24, 2001, the Board opened and read bids for <br />the 2001 Sewer Lining Program. Per Indiana Statute, the City is required to award the project <br />withing 60 days of the bid opening. February 22, 2002 was the 601" day. Due to the stated bid time <br />limits, Mr. Durr recommended that the Board reject all bids and re -advertise for the receipt of bids <br />for this project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, <br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:55 a.m. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />Gary A.
