REGULAR MEETING JUNE 23, 2003 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANTS <br />LICENSE - WISCONSIN SEAFOOD TRUCK SALE <br />Mr. Gilot advised that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department, <br />Police Department, Building Department and the Legal Department concerning a License <br />Application for a Transient Merchant, as submitted by Mr. Michael Parkinson, 1112 North <br />McDonald Street, Green Bay, Wisconsin, on June 27 and June 28, and August 1 and 2, 2003, to <br />conduct the sale of frozen and pre -packaged fish and seafood. Therefore, upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 5KRUN/WALK - IUSB FEST <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park <br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Joann Phillips, IUSB, Post Office Box 7111, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the IUSB 5K <br />run on September 13, 2003, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, <br />seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HOWARD FROM OAK RIDGE <br />TO WHITE OAK - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. John Roos, <br />1730 Oak park Drive, South Bend, Indiana to close the above referred to street to conduct a block <br />party on July 4, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded <br />by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT JULY 4 PARADE <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Park <br />Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Mr. James Dincolo, 1225 Fairfax, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to parade <br />on July 4, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on the designate route as submitted. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BEALE FROM SHERMAN TO <br />INGLEWOOD - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Tamara <br />Blackman, 1013 Beale Street, South Bend, Indiana, to close the above referred to street to conduct <br />a graduation party, on June 26, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Littrell, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BOWMAN FROM DALE TO <br />MIAMI - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Tanya <br />Fisette, 1019 Bowman, South Bend, Indiana, to close the above referred to street to conduct a block <br />parry, on July 4, 2003 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded <br />by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - CUSHING STREET FROM <br />LINCOLNWAY WEST TO LINDSEY - BLOCK PARTY <br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting, Police <br />Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. William <br />Lottie, 612 Cushing, South Bend, Indiana, to close the above referred to street to conduct a block <br />party on July 5, 2003, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded <br />by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />
