Studebaker Car Show July 30, 2005 — South Street from Main to National 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 Lafayette Museum p.m. City Safety City-wide October 10, 2005 South Street from Lafayette Committee Safety Fair — 5:00 a:m. to to Taylor 8:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT- OF-WAY — AWNINGS/CANOPY — 127 SOUTH MICHIGAN Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Police Department, Building Commissioner, Legal Department and the Fire Department for a revocable permit, as submitted by the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, 127 South Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, for the installation of awning and a canopy at 127 South Michigan. Engineering stated that the neighboring awning cross-section and height off sidewalk must match. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to the notation made by the Division of Engineering. APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR SCRAP METAL DEALER — SHAPIRO SALES Mr. Gilot that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from Code Enforcement, Water Works and the Fire Department for a License Application for a Scrap Metal Dealer as submitted by Shapiro Sales, 2920 West Sample, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks, and carried, the License Application was approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO.49-2005 Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO.49-2005 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FIXING RATES & CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED FOR THE PARKING OF VEHICLES AT MUNICIPALLY OPERATED PARKING FACILITIES WHEREAS, Indiana Code, paragraph 36-9-11-7 authorizes the Board of Public Works to fix reasonable rates for municipally owned off-street parking facilities, subject to approval of the Common Council; and
