REGULAR MEETING APRIL 25, 2005 <br />�J_32 <br />AWARD QUOTATION — COUNTY CITY BUILDING 121h and 13th FLOOR <br />CONSTRUCTION (ACCORDION DORR FOR ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT/ENGINEERING FRONT DESK AND SECURITY WALL) <br />PROJECT NO. 105-048B (GENERAL FUND) - <br />Mr. Toy Villa, Engineering, advised the Board that one quotation was received and <br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing the quotation, Mr. Villa <br />recommends that the Board award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible <br />bidder, Kaser Spraker Construction, 25487 West State Road 2, South Bend, Indiana, in <br />the amount of $8,638.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation <br />be approved, subject to approval of the Mayor. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which <br />carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION — COUNTY CITY BUILDING 12THE AND 13TH FLOOR <br />CARPETING - PROJECT NO. 105-048C (GENERAL FUND) <br />Mr. Toy Villa, Engineering, advised the Board that one quotation was received and <br />opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing the quotation, Mr. Villa <br />recommends that the Board award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible <br />bidder, Midwest Tile and Interiors, 1805 North Cedar Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the <br />amount of $33,412.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be <br />approved, subject to approval of the Mayor. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which <br />carried. <br />AWARD PROPOSAL — CSO MONITORING PROJECT — PROJECT NO. 105-045 <br />(SEWAGE WORKS) <br />Mr. Patrick Henthorn, Environmental Services , advised the board that one proposal was <br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing the proposals, Mr. <br />Henthorn recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder, Gripp Field Services, in the amount of $146,399.00 plus $4,700.00 in <br />labor costs. Mr. Henthorn rated each bidder, and recommended the Board award this <br />service to the second highest bidder. His recommendation was based on each bidder <br />meeting specifications, experience, references and costs. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the proposal be awarded as outlined <br />above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion, which carried. <br />AWARD BIDS — SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Mr. Gary Libbey, Code Enforcement, advised the board that on April 11, 2005, bids were <br />received and opened for the above referred to vehicles.
