~~ <br />e~~ <br />PUBLIC AGENDA SESSION SEPTEMBER 27, 2006 <br />- 2007-2008 Hiring List -Fire Department <br />Chief Luther Taylor stated the hiring list as submitted is for 2007-2008. The report <br />submitted shows how they arrived at this list. According to the numbers, it appears there <br />is much interest in the South Bend Fire Department from potential candidates. Chief <br />Taylor stated a letter will be sent to the ninety-eight (98) individuals on the hiring list to <br />advise them where they stand on the list. Eligible candidates must live in St. Joseph <br />County or an adjacent county of St. Joseph County. Chief Taylor also stated an <br />independent contractor from Indianapolis, Indiana performs the oral interviews. Chief <br />Fautz mentioned the same contractor handles the interviews for the Police Department, as <br />well. <br />As the time elapsed for the Public Agenda Session, Chief Taylor was not able to make an <br />additional presentation at this meeting. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, President Rodriguez declared the <br />meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m. <br />BOARD OF P BLIC SAFETY <br />J usa Rodriguez, Presid <br />Donald L. BonDurant, Member <br />EST: <br />Angela .Jacob, Cl <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION SEPTEMBER 27, 2006 <br />The Board of Public Safety met in Executive Session on Wednesday, Se~tember 27, 2006, at <br />8:42 a.m. The meeting was held in the Mayor's Conference Room, 14t Floor, County City <br />Building, South Bend, Indiana, for the purposes specified in I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1 (b) (2) (B) and (b) <br />(6) (A). President Jesusa Rodriguez and Board Members Juanita Dempsey, Donald Alford, <br />Bruce J. BonDurant and Patrick Cottrell were present. Also present were Board Attorney <br />Thomas Bodnar, Police Chief Thomas Fautz, and Fire Chief Luther Taylor.
